Seeking Greener Pastures (Part 3): The hustle before the waka

As una already know, na school levels I take cross carpet enter Germo. But, make I clear una d process when involve to take land Germo. Back then, I dey teach for one school for Lekki, the bread wen dem dey pay nor bad at all, I been also get side lessons, two cars for UBER, and I get clothing bizness. Once once I dey buy and sell cars join d hustle. As dem talk for Naija, I be street boy, hustle anything to make my coins (all legit hustle sha). As u go imagine, I dey galant, I fit arrange every every wen I need to survive, in d Naija level, I be big boy. 

My friend for office come dey ginger me about this Germo school levels, I begin dey interested. No school fees, classes in English, and I know go dey spend all my moni for basic things of life. Na so I buy d idea, I chuk head for d waka. First thing first, I need get admission for school for Germo. I tidy transcript, run d online application, the levels just go well. Everything get structure, no be like JAMB and POST JAMB plus connection to get admission. The way dem dey take reply u email sharp sharp been dey trip me. Over professional worry dem scarrer. Once u don get admission for school, na to book visa appointment for German Embassy. Na here tori start, the requirements wen dem need no plenty, but the Naija factor go frustrate me scarrer.

U go need open German blocked bank account, meaning say u go open bank account for Germany, knack 8,700 euros inside am, na u get the money, but German Government wan see say u get moni to take care of yourself. But this people get sense. U no go fit remove d moni at once, dem don calculate how much u go need for one month, na wetin dem go allow u withdraw. Me don plan how I go raise my blocked account money. If I sell my 2 cars and raise some extra coins every go set. 

To open d German account, dem say u need show bank statement wen get the 8700 euros, e fit be in Naira. And this na early 2016, UNCLE BUBU don enter power, and dem knack us the change wen dem promise us. Me wen don calculate 250 naira=1 euro, uncle BUBU change am to 500naira= 1 euro. Dem burst my screen guard, scarrer my dada. I begin reason to back out, but I ginger say nothing dey happen, wen I reach that bridge I go cross am. I send d bank statement (based on 250=1 euro) and other documents wen I get to open d bank account. Germo bank bounce me. I begin find person wen go fit help me with bank statement wen get big belle. My pipo, super story everywhere, I control one of my uncle wen I know say him account get pot belly, d guy story me reach one point wen him for collect money for my hand. I no give up, some other family people dull me, I still dey find statement. I no go lie for una, I reason do fake bank statement, but my guy for Germo don clear me say Germo dey confirm up to the spelling of your name. Las las, two of my guys knack me statements, I use one give d second to my paddy to open sef. Now bank account don set. To load d money be d next wahala. As I dey find d money for blocked account, interview date for Embassy don reach. I go interview for German embassy Lagos. If u see as d Naija man for front of the embassy dey shout for us ehnnnn, chaiii, na we dey kill ourself. I enter to do interview, interview reach almost 1 hour. Wetin dem know ask me, state and capital for Germany? My plans after masters, if I dey come back? I no need tell una d answer to that question. Interview finish, I go house dey wait their response. Dem respond tell me say dem dey wait confirmation of my blocked account moni. That one let me know say every dey on track, na money remain. I begin sell all d sellables, borrow money from office cooperative, colleagues, etc. To even buy euro that time na strictly black market, UNCLE BUBU change knack me pieces. Buy the time I raise money complete na end of November, four months after interview. And school resume for October, as I get confirmation, I sharply forward d mail to embassy. Na so embassy tell me say school don resume since October and dem need confirmation from d school say I fit still resume. I no go forget that day, na Friday afternoon, I panic die. Luckily for me, I don mail my course coordinator say I go resume late. As I forward d email to her. My pipo, under 30 mins the woman don reply with attachment wen I go send embassy. She write d attachment letter in German, I first translate make I know weda na sorry be my name. The letter over stew, she even tell dem to contact her if dem need any oder tin. Na so embassy tell me to bring passport, dem knack me visa, I buy the cheapest possible ticket take off. 

I wan use dis place take hail all the people home and abroad wen support the ministry, without una help, nothing for pure.
